which was created at the end of the 2nd
World War, known as the
"Sécurité Sociale". This
system guarantees either free or
reimbursed basic medical treatment in a
hospital, visits to a general practitioner
and prescribed medicines.
This health insurance cover can be
completed by a complementary insurance
which takes in charge the costs which are
eventually not covered by the
Sécurité Sociale. There are
various companies offering this
service.
