between Paris/CDG1 and Dublin, Cork and Shannon.
The flight lasts 90 minutes. The company also does
connecting flights to Galway, Sligo et Kerry.
AIR INTER has regular flights between Paris CDC2
and Dublin.
BRIT AIR, between Brest, Nantes and Cork.
TAT, between Quimper, Lannion and Cork from April
to September.
From May to September
between Rouen/Cork, Quimper/Dublin and
Poitiers/Dublin.

Car ferries :
BRITTANY FERRIES, from mid-March to mid-May,
there is once a week a crossing between Roscoff and
Cork. The crossing takes 16 hours.
Up until the end of September the crossings Roscoff
or Saint-Malo/Cork take place three times a week.
The crossing takes 18 hours.
IRISH FERRIES have daily crossings from Le Havre or
Cherbourg/Rosslare all the year round. There are
also daily crossings between Le Havre/Cork,
Cherbourg/Cork, Roscoff/Cork during the summer
season. There are special prices available for
travellers up to the end of June and from the end
of September. They do three crossings a week
between Roscoff or Saint-Malo/Cork until the end of
September.

Bus Ferries:
EUROLINES do trips by bus leaving from Paris to

Eurotunnel :
Le Shuttle goes between France and England
every day, all year round, between Calais and
Folkestone.
The crossing takes 35 minutes.

Switzerland
By plane:
There are daily direct flights leaving from
Zurich to Dublin. Flights from Geneva/Zurich to
Dublin and
Basle/Zurich to Dublin have the advantage of APEX
prices. There are connecting flights from Dublin to
Shannon, Cork, Galway, Killarnay, Sligo,
Connacht/Knock.
There are other possibilities via Paris, Amsterdam
or London.
From the end of May to September, there are other
charter flights Zurich/Shannon, Zurich/Knock,
Zurich/Killarney, Zurich/Cork and
Geneva/Dublin.

Canada
By plane :
There are regular charter flights from May to
October towards Dublin or Shannon, which last 6
hours

Dublin.
CONNECTIONS has flights with SATA for young people
and students with special low prices
PETRA TOURS does charter flights every Saturday
from June to September from Brussels to Shannon
SABENA, Brussels/Dublin, and flights to Ireland
from Amsterdam, Maastricht via London and
Manchester.
VIRGIN ATLANTICS CITYJET, five regular flights a
week from Brussels to Dublin.

Internal Transport

Trains and buses :
The capital is connected to most of the
other main towns by a very satisfactory rail
network. To get to Cork from Dublin it takes 2h30.
It takes 3 hours from Dublin to Galway, 2h30
between Dublin and Limerick and 3h20 between Dublin
and Sligo.
The DART is an express train which goes between
Howth, Dublin and Bray on the east coast.
You can get a bus to places where there is no
railway.
If you arrive in Ireland at Rosslare you can get to
Galway with an express bus line.
In big towns like Dublin,
Cork, Galway and Limerick the taxis are all
equipped with meters, the starting charge is
£1.80.
Internal airlines :
There are regular flights between Dublin,
Shannon, Cork, Connacht/Knock, Sligo, Galway and
Killarney.
There are also regular flights from Galway to
Inishmore on the Aran Islands.
Maritime transport :
There are three ferry boats going between the
counties, they make the trip much shorter by
crossing a river estuary. The first one crosses the
Shannon between Tarbet which is in the south and
Killimer in the north. The second one crosses the
Waterford estuary between Ballyhack in the east and
Passage East in the west. The third one goes
between East Ferry and Passage West in the county
of Cork.
